Our Journey

Foundations and Initial Growth
Based in Knutsford, the board set a strategy with a renewed focus on removing barriers to education through increasing accessibility. To improve the standard of training, raise the profile of Skills for Security, and professionalise the sector.

Improved Access
Relocated our flagship training centre to Warrington for better accessibility and transportation.

Expanding Our Offering
We moved into the commercial delivery of Fire and Security training, as well as the SIA license to practice. We increased our partnership delivery sites to six, significantly enhancing our accessibility. Additionally, we appointed Simon Banks as our Chairman, further strengthening our leadership.

Maintaining Success
We maintained our 'good provider' status through inspection by OFSTED and achieved 400% growth since 2019. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we navigated through it with strong growth, demonstrating resilience and success.

Significant Growth and Funding Changes
We implemented a sponsorship initiative that allowed us to give back to the sector. Over 800 unique learners enrolled at SfS, and we employed 47 staff members across the UK.

Capital Injection and Dynamic Expansion
We opened the Walsall training centre to increase capacity and make training more accessible in the Midlands. We also made significant investments in the LMS platform to enhance our training delivery. Additionally, we saw a 27% increase in staffing, growing from 55 to 70 employees.

Bold Strategy and Diversification Plan
We invested in technology, including Moonhub, Absorb, the LMS, and BUD, to enhance our operations and training delivery. We also increased sponsorship investment and retention by providing new opportunities within Skills-On-Demand. Additionally, we're expanding our reach and services with two new training centres opening in Essex and Warrington.
